Glorious Fall Day

I just finished an engagement session with Nathan and Renee. What a fun couple! I really enjoyed working with them. We took some photos in Estes Park in the fall colors. My favorite pics are below. They are getting married next Fall in the Northeast. Wishing you much joy.

Trash the Dress

I’ve been getting questions from my friends and family about how I ‘altered’ the image on the main page to make it look like the couple is in the water. Well, that isn’t altered - they are in the water. Yes, my friends and family are old married people that aren’t up on the cutting edge trends in wedding photography like the brides reading this but these images are from my first ‘Trash the Dress” session. The session was organized by Andrew Schaefer and included some other incredibly talented photographers.

I must admit, I’m not fond of the “Trash the Dress” trend. Maybe it’s just the name - why would you want to trash your wedding dress? Perhaps, instead of trashing think of it as a relaxing in your dress session. Hmm, I like that. The stressful wedding is done and now we can wear the dress again and concentrate on being beautiful and getting some great images and not ruining the dress… Besides, a good dry cleaner could fix some little stains and water dries. Still, there is no reason to trash the dress.  We can get some awesome shots with only a little dirt and wrinkles. But if you want to jump in the water I’ll be there with my camera :) Here are the photos.
