Wedding at Red Rocks Reception at The Oxford

This weekend I was honored to photograph Maribeth and Scott’s wedding. The ceremony was held at gorgeous Red Rocks Trading Post in Morrison, CO and the reception at The Oxford hotel in downtown Denver. From the moment I met Maribeth I knew she was a bride with class and style. She planned such a beautiful day – every little detail just flowed together perfectly.

Maribeth was breathtaking… and I loved the beautiful bracelet she wore.

She had to get a photo with blued eyed kitty.

The dashing groom.

Maribeth’s tied a locket around her bouquet with photos of her grandmothers.

A stunning view at Red Rocks Trading Post.

Scott and Maribeth stopped traffic to get this photo in front of Union Station

The Oxford was a gorgeous place to host the reception.

Congratulations Scott and Maribeth!

This Sunday, Sept. 28, from noon-4pm I’ll be at the Bridal Open House at Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons. Here is a link to the details and directions Stone Mountain Lodge Bridal Open House. There will be food and wedding vendors and you’ll get to see what a lovely job they’ve done at Stone Mountain Lodge. Stone Mountain is just 3 miles West of Lyons on Hwy 36. It’s on the right. If you go make sure you say hello to me.

Here are a few photos from a wedding there last June.

Fall Hiking in Estes Park

Wedding season is winding down for me. While I’ll miss the excitement of a wedding every weekend I can finally get out and enjoy the Colorado outdoors. Steve, Sparky and I went for a hike in Estes Park last week. The leaves are just beginning to turn and the weather was just gorgeous. I hope to make it back for the Elk mating season in a few weeks.

It is also time to schedule your Fall photo sessions.  Fall is the best time to photograph outdoors.  The colors are brilliant and the weather pleasant.  There is only a short time to catch the leaves at their peak.  Follow this link to see a photo session from last year Glorious Fall day photos.

Lyons Duck Race

I love small town life. This weekend was the Lyons Duck race. It is a fundraiser for the boy scouts and Lyons Parks and Recreation.

The boy scouts release the corporate sponsored ducks.

The release of the ducks and the race begins.

Oskar Blues groovy duck makes his way down the river.

A little Colorado wildlife. A girl rescued this bull snake from the middle of the road.

Longmont Senior Photos

Today I got to meet Cody for his High School Senior Photos. We spent the afternoon exploring a park in Lyons. Turns out we both grew up in Florida and Cody wants to go back there for college. Unfortunately, he has chosen the other school. Anyone from Florida is familiar with the in state rivalry between the University of Florida and Florida State. Despite his affiliation with that other school I enjoyed spending time photographing him and chatting about Florida and football. I am jealous though, he has tickets to the big game.

Cody, you are a handsome young man. Enjoy your senior year and have fun at the UF-FSU football game.

GO GATORS!

Enjoy the sneak peak photos.
