Living in Colorado you become aware of dry conditions and the chance of wild fire but you don’t expect it in January. Yesterday 1400 acres about 7 miles from our home burned. High winds (hurricane strength winds) made the fight very difficult for the firefighters and 4 homes burned. 100s of people were evacuated. Steve and I drove to Boulder to see the blaze and, as our friend Traian put it, “wow, that’s scary close”. My prayers go out to the families effected by this and I thank the firefighters who worked all night to stop the blaze.
