Brittany and Josh Got Married {Colorado Wedding Photographer}

Steve and I loved Josh and Brittany’s Colorado wedding.  We traveled to Southeastern Colorado to attend their wedding.  Brittany’s mom is a very talented photographer and it is a huge honor to be chosen to photograph a wedding by another photographer.

These photos are just the highlights of the day.  The wedding was full of beauty, elegance and loving warmth.   Steve is still raving about the Texas BBQ Josh’s mom flew in from Austin.  Stay tuned for the wedding slideshow for the complete story.

Colorado Bride Getting Ready

I love the moment mom realizes her baby is a bride.

Steve took this adorable photo of the grandparents.

Brittany decorated the ceremony with candlelight which made such an impact in this little church.

I was being all stealthy and ninja like taking photos from the back of the church and in the hallway when this little future photographer walked right in front of me and got this fantastic angle.  He sat down in the same spot I was sitting moments before.

I think this one is my favorite photo  from the wedding day.

I liked this one too.

A few portraits of the couple.  They were so happy together and Brittany’s smile was dazzling.

We snuck Brittany and Josh out of the reception and to the railroad tracks for some creative photos before sunset.  Their reception was held in an old train station.

I have never seen candles on the wedding cake before but I thought it was beautiful.

Brittany changed into her party dress for the reception.

Brittany and Josh left the reception through a cloud of bubbles. (I loved that Brittany was barefoot – who needs uncomfortable shoes)

Congratulations Josh and Brittany!  It was a pleasure working with you.  We wish you much happiness.  The slideshow and online gallery will be ready soon.

Kim K - You got some awesome shots! love the one of the little boy in the middle of the aisle taking a picture.

Brad Wallace - as usual you continue to get beautiful, creative shots. You have some really lovely low light work here, can you tell me what lens you were using? Thaxs Brad

Jennifer - Thank you Brad and Kim, Yes, the wedding low lighting and white balance was quite challenging. For most of the ceremony I was using the Nikon D700 at ISO 3200 with one of my favorite lens the 70-200. I also used the 50mm 1.4 for some of the images.

Brad Wallace - I kind of figured those were the two. I’ve been thinking of adding the 50mm 1.4 and I think you just convinced me. Love your work, Brad

Jennifer - The 50mm 1.4 is one of my favorite lens. It is light and takes wonderful photos.

Mara (Wedding Cabaret) - stunning!!
