Kristen an Ben met me in Estes Park for their engagement photos. My favorites are posted here. We hid from a 10 minute rain storm but mostly had good weather. We ended up at at historic Stanley Hotel. Kristen and Ben, I enjoyed getting to know you and wish you much happiness in your marriage!
Steve and I had fun exploring Ft. Collins for Kate and Brian’s engagement photos. It is always a joy when a good friend asks you to photograph their wedding but when your friend is also a successful wedding planner it becomes a very special honor. {btw, if you need an outstanding person to plan your wedding check out Kate here: Green Apple Weddings} Kate and Brian were wonderful to work with and they brought their dog Tebo along for a few photos. We ended our photos at a coffee shop in downtown Ft. Collins. I cannot wait for thier wedding this July – stay tuned for lots of unique details and another beautiful love story!

I met Julia and Eric for engagement photos by the Flatirons in Boulder. I woke to a gorgeous morning in Lyons but as I drove to Boulder the city was covered with a thick layer of fog (it was crazy, every place was gorgeous except the cloud settled in Boulder) but driving up to the Flatirons we got above the fog and back to gorgeous skies and sun. This engagement session had it all – bright blue skies,a fresh layer of snow and the last clinging Fall leaves. I was happy Eric and Julia invited me to meet them here. Favorite photos below:
The leaves were just falling off this tree as we were photographing. It was beautiful and sad at the same moment.
A twist on the traditional piggy back ride – Julia offered one to Eric. Brave, strong woman and trusting fellow – I love it.
Julia and Eric are getting married at The Stadium Club at Folsom Field next summer. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
Aspens in all their Fall glory and a beautiful couple made this engagement perfect. Despite a rain storm right when we were scheduled to begin Serena and Luke hid under the pavilion with me and waited for the Colorado weather to change. And the saying was right – wait 20 minutes and the weather will change. We went from a downpour to bright blue skies and rainbows. I was so excited to see the Aspen in Estes Park changing to their Fall yellows. Fall is my favorite time for photos and Serena and Luke were so much fun to work with. My favorite photos are below.
