While I am on the subject of father daughter dances I chose this image from Sabrina’s wedding.  Sabrina included her mother in the father daughter dance and I thought it was so cool.   I loved how Sabrina’s dad looks so proud of his 2 favorite ladies.

This moment is from May of this year.  I am working on Christy and Phil’s wedding album so it is fresh on my mind.  They had an intimate ceremony at Wild Basin Lodge in Estes Park – only 20 guests – so this was such a heartfelt wedding.  This quick glance between Christy’s parent while Phile and Chrsity were exchanging vows just oozes of love and price and happiness.

This week’s moment to remember is from Jill and Thad’s wedding at Aspen Lodge.  It is a fun memory that Steve took.  After the ceremony the flower girl was celebrating by tossing rose petals in the air.  So I am too honest and will admit  this image was staged because Steve couldn’t get over to her fast enough and yes, I will admit I photoshopped in some of the petals (the best petal photo she had her eyes closed so I combined the two) but she was doing this on her own at first and I just smile every time I look at it.

Today’s moment to remember is from Sabrina and Vince’s gorgeous Estes Park wedding at Mary’s Lake Lodge. It is a classic wedding moment – when the groom first sees his bride.  I just loved the look of love, pride and joy as Sabrina’s father presented her to Vince.  That is the back of Sabrina’s father in the foreground and Vince’s fathers and best man smiling in the background.  I just loved this moment as it unfolded perfectly during the ceremony.

This week’s moment to remember is from Sierra and Aaron’s elegant wedding at Della Terra.   This image was immediately after their first look before the ceremony.  Steve and I had them meet on the bridge between the chateau and the ceremony site.  This was such a short quiet moment where they just took a little time to appreciate being together.  The long lens comes in handy during the first looks – you don’t want to be too close but you don’t want to miss anything.  I converted the photo to black and white to enhance the quietness and emotion.

This moment to remember is from Amelia and Nick’s fun Estes Park wedding. This was not your typical wedding photograph…  Nick and Amelia eloped in Hawaii and hosted a celebration reception in at Mary’s Lake Lodge in Estes Park.  Yes, that is a belly dancer.  I was sooo looking forward to photographing the belly dancer.  It was a lot of fun and I got so many unique and unexpected moments.  Like this one when this little boy came forward .  I was playing with different angles and immediately got down low for this photo.  I wanted to be at the boy’s level and experience the event as he would.  My camera was set to allow some motion from the dancer’s hips and beautiful beaded custom but also  freeze the look on the boys face.  This was certainly a unique wedding moment – but I love when couples incorporate unique elements to their wedding celebrations.
