Milestones. That is what I record and what milestone is more intimidating than High School Senior portraits? Moving from childhood to adulthood is so full of promise – but so stressful. Deciding on a college and a major and making decisions that will effect the rest of your life – but still trying to enjoy your final year of high school when everyone is asking what you will be studying…. I don’t miss that but I love photographing seniors. They are so full of hope and joy at the coming school year. Here are a few photos of Gaby. She loves flowers (which I was ecstatic to get her in the wildflower fields). She is from Guatemala and that colorful quilt is from her home country. She likes to be barefoot so I had to invite her to wade in the lake. I wish we had more time to play a little more in the water.

I can’t believe the holiday season is here. I am excited to share the new 2010 Holiday Card designs. There are 2 new designs this year (or you can select a 2009 design).

2010 Design 1: HAPPY HIPPY 5×7 card

2010 Design 2: LET IT SNOW 5×5 trifold card (can be made into a 5×5 folded or flat) NOTE square shapes require additional postage

You are welcome to use any image from a prior photo session for cards or schedule a future session. I met Alex and her family in Boulder for a fun family photo session. We had a beautiful day exploring the CU campus. I loved how colorful their outfits were. The kids were so cuddly and fun – I enjoyed photographing them.

I was so excited when Chris’ mom called me to take his senior portraits. We went to one of my favorite places, Roxborough State Park, the same spot where his big brother, Andrew, had his senior photos. I love getting to know each member of my families. Chris even included his girlfriend in a couple photos.

Senior Photo time has begun. I met Abigail in Estes Park while she was visiting her grandparents for a senior photography session in the beautiful Colorado mountains. I loved how beautiful these photos are but I have to give credit to Abigail for being a beautiful model. Seniors are so much fun to photograph. I always think about the changes that await them in the next year as they start their adult live. It is a scary time but exciting too.

Abigail, I wish all of your dreams come true.

Decorate your home with family photos

I just completed the post photo session consultaion with Wendy and had to share the fun wall display we created. I love helping my clients create unique designs to preserve their images either though wall displays or albums. Everytime Wendy looks at this display she’ll remember the fun afternoon in the park with her family. I can’t wait to deliver the final prints.
