When I met Jonesy in Lyons for his family portraits I knew he meant business.
Don’t let the tough guy exterior fool you, he really is a sweetheart.
We actually had time to get some photos of just mom and dad.
Proof that the kids were having fun.
Thank you Jonesy for bringing your family to Lyons for an outdoor photo session in the park.

Steve and I attended another fun Spring concert at the Wildflower Pavilion at Planet Bluegrass. Chatham County Line played for a packed house. I got a new lens and camera so we were testing out the new equipment. I am amazed by the low light capability of the newer Nikon SLR cameras. All of these images were taken sans flash.
I love the intimacy of the Wildflower pavilion. It’s the perfect venue to get up and dance.
There are 3 more concerts left this season so take a look at the schedule now: Wildflower concerts
Did you know you can rent the Wildflower Pavilion and Planet Bluegrass for your wedding? Get more information here: Weddings at Planet Bluegrass.
It was a snow day in Colorado and Pat and Carey scheduled a portrait session in Lyons. We had fun exploring the winter wonderland around Lyons with their dogs Bella and Hondo. We got some very cute photos for their holiday cards. These are my favorite photos.
The dogs had a blast in the snow and they posed so nicely for me.
On Sunday, November 15 I will be doing mini photo sessions in Lyons. Get custom holiday cards done AND a fresh family photo.
Busy on November 15? All new family photo sessions scheduled before November 15 include a set of holiday cards. Follow this link for all of the holiday card designs and details about the photo sessions:
When you meet a couple as sweet as Mindy and Dave you know their wedding is going to be beautiful and fun. I’ve been looking forward to seeing Dave and Mindy at their Lyons wedding since their engagement session. My favorite photos are posted here. Watch the slideshow at the bottom of the post to see more of Mindy and Dave’s wedding.
Here is Dave – loved the shoes.
and Mindy looking beautiful
As we were waiting in the tent for the bride’s entrance Mindy kept saying “I can’t hear the music”. This is the moment she stepped out far enough that she heard her song drifting softly from the ceremony site.
The groomsmen suggested this pose which Steve and I were happy to record even though it made me super nervous.
My favorite detail was the cupcake tree topper. Aren’t these owls adorable?
We took a photo walk around Stone Mountain Lodge with the breathtaking Colorado mountains for a background.
I had to get this photo of Mindy feeding the ducks.
Finally, their grand bubble exit.
See more of this Lyons wedding on the slideshow. This slideshow program is still being beta tested so let me know how it works.
Congratulations Mindy and Dave! I wish you much love and happiness.
