This is an oldie but goodie…  this moment to remember is from Chase and Ashley’s wedding in Lyons.  They were leaving the ceremony site and I was following them and saw this adorable little kiss as they were walking away.  I loved how the light was hitting the back of Ashley’s veil.  I also remember hearing the song by Michelle Featherstone “We are Man and Wife” that I used to have playing on my website.  Ashley first heard the song on my website and had her DJ go and get a copy to play for the recessional.  This moment and hearing that song definitely made me smile that day – and I’m smiling now as I recall this.

This week’s moment to remember is from Mindy and Dave’s fun wedding at Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons, CO.  This is the moment right before Mindy walked down the aisle.  She and her dad were tucked away in the tent and all the bridesmaids and flower girls had left for their walk down the aisle.  I was outside the tent patiently waiting for those last few minutes and at first Mindy was looking rather nervous.  I heard her say something about the music and it wasn’t right.  What was happening was inside the tent Mindy couldn’t hear the music.  Right at this moment she stepped out just enough that the sounds from the ceremony site could be heard and she totally relaxed.  I loved this smile as she realized how perfect everything was.  And their wedding was so personal and special for Mindy and Dave.  To see more photos follow this link:  Lyons Colorado wedding

As we were waiting in the tent for the bride’s entrance Mindy kept saying “I can’t hear the music”.  This is the moment she stepped out far enough that she heard her song drifting softly from the ceremony site.

The groomsmen suggested this pose which Steve and I were happy to record even though it made me super nervous.

My favorite detail was the cupcake tree topper.  Aren’t these owls adorable?

We took a photo walk around Stone Mountain Lodge with the breathtaking Colorado mountains for a background.

I had to get this photo of Mindy feeding the ducks.

Finally, their grand bubble exit.

The opening act was local Denver artist Ian Cooke.  He entertained us with a mix of cello, keyboards and vocals.  His dark and fascinating sound was truly mesmerizing.

I loved how this little boy just wondered up front.

The headliner was Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros – what an energetic and unique experience this was.  I love the Wildflower pavilion because of the intimacy of the venue and this band was well suited for this stage.  The show was a high energy and lively celebration that kept the crowd dancing throughout the show.

The lead singer hopped out into the crowd for one song.

Concerts at the Wildflower Pavilion (and Planet Bluegrass) are a special evening and a lot of fun.  I’m always impressed with the variety and outstanding talents that perfom at Planet Bluegrass.  Concerts at the Wildflower Pavilion are in the Fall and Spring only so go and look at the schedule – you don’t want to miss an evening at this wonderful concert venue.
