I loved this moment from Brittany and Josh’s Colorado wedding.  Brittany’s daughter was opening the door to the reception and you can see Brittany’s gown  in the background.

I was thrilled to have John Hudetz as my second photographer at this wedding.  I have photographed next to many photographers and it still amazes me that everyone will be looking at the same thing but get a different photo.  John’s eye is so fascinating to me. He saw this shot of Brian and Kate leaving the Armstrong Hotel with the canopies and the sign – I loved it.

Instead of flowers, Kate’s bouquet was a brooch bouquet full of sparkle and photos of loved ones.

Kate’s engagement ring was handmade out of wood by Brian.  Each wedding band included a piece of the same wood and were stored in this special box.

Brian’s mom was so happy for him. She kept hugging him.

Kate included so many unique and creative details.  The entire event was themed on theaters.  From the playbill programs to the popcorn escort cards and candy table.  All the creative stationary was created by Sofia.  Here is just a sample.

This week’s moment to remember is from Jill and Thad’s wedding at Aspen Lodge.  It is a fun memory that Steve took.  After the ceremony the flower girl was celebrating by tossing rose petals in the air.  So I am too honest and will admit  this image was staged because Steve couldn’t get over to her fast enough and yes, I will admit I photoshopped in some of the petals (the best petal photo she had her eyes closed so I combined the two) but she was doing this on her own at first and I just smile every time I look at it.

This moment to remember is from Candace and Klas’ elegant Ft. Collins Country Club wedding last Fall. This is one of those moments that as a wedding photographer you just want to do a happy dance and fist pump – yes!  But when you are in the middle of the wedding ceremony and standing toward the front you do that celebrating silently.   I was along the side wall as the wedding party was signing the marriage license.  Candace looked over her shoulder at her bridesmaids and gave this smile.  Bang – I was in the perfect spot.  I liked Candace’s mischievous smile and the action going on the background – Klas and the preacher moving out of the way as Candace’s sister – maid of honor – signed.  The pleasant window light created a beautiful scene.

The wedding ceremony was held in front of the heart shaped pond at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch.

I loved the lanterns and the beautiful orange and reds on the wedding arch.  Brigitte at Floral Design of Europe did a great job.
