This week’s moment to remember is from Tania and Adel’s colorful Pakistani wedding.  When asked for the most interesting wedding I have photographed I often mention this wedding.  The event began with a mehndi party the night before the Christian wedding ceremony.  This moment is right before the mehndi party began.  Tania had just completed dressing and was waiting to enter the reception room with all the guests.  This wedding was just and explosion of color and fun.

Before the party began, I got a couple photos as Tania got ready.

The stage is ready for the couple to arrive.

First, the groom arrives surrounded by his family and friends carrying a colorful scarf over his head.

After the groom’s ceremonies are complete the bride arrives surrounded by an even larger reception.

The guests approach the couple and offer blessings.

The henna is placed on a leaf and then applied to the hands later.

After the ceremony the dancing began…

It didn’t take long for Tania to join the dancing.
