Wedding Color Chart

Taking a break from editing  wedding photos…  It’s amazing the amout of inspiration out there.  One shop I love is Paper Source – it’s a great source for creative ideas for stationary and favors for your wedding or social events.  They posted a fun Colorscope that tells you how the colors you choose reflect your personality.  I found the description of the main colors I choose to represent JSP interesting.

Bluebell:  You have a classic style, are a romantic, easy to love, and people find you appealing.  Some may think of you as quiet, but you are really thinking deeply about what is going on around you, and then coming up with the perfect solution.

Chocolate: You are down to earth, comfortable with who you are and have a great ability to find joy in life.  You don’t take things personally, you rebound from failure, and go for what you want.

That describes my wishes for the business well.  Maybe the colors you are drawn to do say something.  Check out the colorscope and see what your colors say about you and your event.

I originally saw this on Pretty Obsessed.  Thank you for the inspiration.

Bridal Open House

I attended a bridal open house at Stone Mountain Lodge this weekend.  I meet some wonderful brides and enjoyed meeting some other wedding vendors.  These shows are a great way to find talented local artists to help you create your perfect wedding.

First, I wanted to show you the cakes…  When I was a bride (back in Virginia a few years ago) I was on a mission to find not only a beautiful design but something that tastes great.  I visited 6 cake designers before I found what I was looking for.  If you are like me and searching for a moist yummy, cake that is designed beautifully then let me save you some time.  Go and schedule a tasting with Rachel of Intricate Icings.  And try the zucchini cake – it sounds weird but it is good.  Here you can see a few of her beautiful designs.  My favorite was the damask – but in blue.

Since we are on food, next stop Greens Point Catering.  Always yummy and a gorgeous presentation.  I loved how organic this table looked.  I loved the lemonade with blackberries…

The next vendors are all local Lyons wedding vendors like me.  These are my neighbors and I love working with the locals.  The beautiful flowers were created by Jeralyn at  Living Arts Florals.  The music was an elegant and relaxing harp and flute by Patricia Dominowski.

The wedding ceremony area at Stone Mountain Lodge.  Looking gorgeous as the Spring buds explode in green.

And finally the wedding arch.  In June the vines will be in full bloom.  Jeralyn put just a little colorful flowers on it for the show.

Stadium Club at Folsom Field Open House

I attended an open house at the Stadium Club at Folsom Field last night.  I took some photos of the display tables and just had to share with you.

The first table was simply elegant.

I thought the centerpiece on the next reception table was just gorgeous.

I turned on the flash for this image so you could see a little of the view of Folsom Field and the mountains in the background.

wedding reception table

This table had a seaside theme.  I just loved the colors – OK, so I love anything blue.  I thought the chairs were perfect too.

wedding table

This table was my favorite.  I loved the incorporation of fruit into the centerpiece design.  The green and white is so light and breezy feeling – perfect for a beautiful wedding reception decor.

This last table was a holiday inspired design.  I really liked the creative centerpiece.  Again, look at the view of the mountains.  Plus, the TVs everywhere in the Stadium Club would be nice for a slideshow.

The flowers were done by Flowers in Bloom and Cottage Garden Creations both wonderfully creative florists in Boulder.
